The Collection
From the 1930s through the 1970s, a small group of artists working in and around Taxco, Mexico, built a body of work that belongs in the same conversation as Calder, Brâncuși, and the great twentieth-century jewelers of Europe — but the field still treats it as vintage jewelry. This catalog argues otherwise.
Each entry is a single, authored piece: artist, workshop, design family, period. The records are cited against published scholarship and built to be corrected. The launch set is fifty pieces.
