Coffee & Tea Service

A coffee and tea service is among the more demanding things a silver workshop can undertake, and Héctor Aguilar's Taller Borda had the scale and skill to do it. Building a matched suite of hollowware tests a shop's consistency across pots, handles, and spouts, and Aguilar's operation was organized to meet that test at volume.

The service form gathers several vessels into a single design language, so that body shape, handle, and proportion read as one family across the set. In Aguilar's hands that meant clean, solid forms where function set the silhouette.

Complete services by Aguilar reach the market only occasionally, since suites are harder to keep intact than single pieces, and that scarcity gives a full coffee and tea service real standing among collectors of his hollowware.
