A footed liqueur, or jigger, goblet, this one carries three applied silver buttons spaced one at each third of its perimeter; the same catalogue number was also made with the three buttons set in a vertical row instead. The applied button was a Spratling holloware signature, and its placement is the variable that distinguishes versions sharing a number. The goblet is recorded in Spratling Silver by Cederwall and Riney.
Surviving catalogues track its price: $6.40 wholesale in 1958-59, $6.80 in 1961, and $7.60 in 1967, a small record of the line's commercial life.
The design has been reissued, so collectors weigh period of manufacture along with the arrangement of the buttons. A documented model with a clear price history, it sits comfortably in the well-recorded part of the Spratling holloware canon.
