Numbered 5247, this bracelet is one of the catalogued enamel models in Margot de Taxco's line, the figure marking it within the workshop's inventory (Morrill, pdf p. 15). The numbering carried through her whole production, every design fixed and repeatable.
Its enamel-on-silver is the champlevé work she perfected into a major line, after Reveriano Castillo and Miguel Melendez first initiated the technique at the Los Castillo workshop (Morrill, p. 166). Margot wrote detailed instructions for each design, including the colors for the enameling (Morrill, p. 168).
