Numbered 5147 in Margot de Taxco's design system, this bracelet carries one of the model numbers she stamped to designate each piece within the workshop's inventory (Morrill, pdf p. 15). The number places it in the earlier part of her numbered run.
The enamel-on-silver follows the champlevé method she perfected into one of her major lines, after Reveriano Castillo and Miguel Melendez first initiated the technique at the Los Castillo workshop (Morrill, p. 166). She set down detailed instructions for each design, including the color choices for the enamel (Morrill, p. 168).
