A narrow double-arrow pin set with amethysts, this brooch reduces the workshop's arrow motif to a slim, linear form and marks it with the purple stone. The same pin design was also made without amethysts, a plainer variant of the model.
The pin belongs to the workshop's First Design Period and to its recurring vocabulary of pointed arrow forms. Recorded in the Morrill and Berk survey of twentieth-century Mexican silver, it is a documented example of the workshop's arrow jewelry, the stone-set and plain versions offering a useful pair for collectors.
