This bracelet comes from the Taxco workshop of Hector Aguilar, a maker central to mid-century Mexican metalwork through the Taller Borda. Where much of the Taxco revival centered on silver, Aguilar's shop also worked copper, and a copper bracelet such as this one shows that breadth of material within a single design vocabulary.
Worked in copper, the piece carries the warmth and weight the Aguilar shop favored, its presence built from solid metal and clean, hand-formed line rather than applied decoration.
