This three-light candelabra extends Hector Aguilar's Taxco workshop beyond jewelry into decorative objects for the home. Aguilar, a central figure of the Taxco silver revival, produced lighting and holloware as well as the wearable silver for which he is best known, and this candelabra sits within that broader range of work.
Built as a three-light candelabra, the piece came from the Taller Borda, the workshop Aguilar established in Taxco in the decades after William Spratling set the town's silver revival in motion in the 1930s.
