Spiral Disc Bracelet

This bracelet translates the spiral disc unit into a compact wrist form. The roundels are linked in sequence, with polished silver rims surrounding darkened spiral channels. At 7 1/2 inches long, the bracelet keeps the motif close and rhythmic, using the wrist as a shorter field for the same circular pulse seen in the related necklace and earrings.

The photographed reverse shows the construction more plainly: rounded backs, hinge points, and the box clasp that holds the bracelet as a flexible sequence rather than a rigid cuff. That structure matters because the design depends on movement. Each disc remains visually self-contained, but the links allow the spirals to turn around the wrist as a continuous band.

The marks reported with the original set place the design within the early Los Castillo vocabulary of the 1940s: Los Castillo, Taxco, in a circle; Sterling; Hecho en Mexico, in a circle; and design number 317. The absence of an eagle assay mark accords with a pre eagle dating. The bracelet shows the workshop's ability to make an abstract silver motif both graphic and wearable.
