Curatorial note

A salad-server spoon finished with a flattened silver ball at the end of its handle, the matching server to the fork of the same design. The flattened terminal is the spoon's defining detail, giving the handle balance and a clean point of resolution.

As a server from the first design period, it carries the hand-finished character of the Las Delicias workshop.

The spoon is recorded in Cederwall and Riney's Spratling Silver and its Centennial Edition.
