A copper-and-brass pitcher shows the side of the Taller Borda that worked beyond silver. Hector Aguilar, who founded the Taxco workshop after his years with William Spratling, produced hollowware in more than one metal, and copper vessels are part of that output.
Worked in copper with brass during the workshop's active years of 1939 to 1962, the pitcher reflects Aguilar's handling of substantial, well-proportioned vessel forms.
