The earrings condense the Diamonds and Dots suite into two small comma-shaped forms. Each earring repeats the black and white enamel fields, silver dots, diamond reserves, and scalloped edges seen in the larger necklace and bracelet.
Their scale changes the reading of the pattern. What is expansive on the necklace and architectural on the cuff becomes compact and rhythmic here, showing how Margot de Taxco could carry a single enamel idea across different jewelry forms without flattening their individual character.
